I hate to say this but I’m pretty proud of myself. I remember my sophomore year I had no idea I had this kind of talent. And now I don’t know what I’d do without it.
My first trip to socal was pretty crazy. I took my first choreo cookies workshop. I remember stepping into studio 429 thinking “wtf am I doing here…?!?” then the class started … And all my nerves went out the window. I actually started to believe in my talent. I remember clearly Mari and Keone coming up to me and asking if I was from the area… And I could barley say anything because I was so shocked that I was being recognized. I got into select group and from right then I knew that I had something special inside me. They seemed so anxious for me to come back, because all they kept saying was “we’ll see you soon yeah :-)?” I kinda felt like everything that was going on wasn’t real. Like I didn’t really work hard enough to actually get that recognition. But then I really thought about it, and now I’m saying fuck it! Let the oppourtunities kick shit in. Now I’m traveling to LA and San Diego getting it in. Sharing my craft. In a span of two years!!! Who do you know who can do some shit like that?!?
but now I gotta tone it down abit and remember I have other responsibilities to handle first. I got to get my priorities in order before I start to over do things. My next trip to LA is this winterbreak. Let this be the start of my craft spreading to socal. There’s over 70 people that will be attending. What more can I ask for? I’m too blessed right now. This is just the beginning… More to come.
